What we collect, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

samontak, based in the United Kingdom ("samontak", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through samontak.com. For anything about your data, email hello@samontak.com.

What we collect

Details you give us: your name, email address, company, website, the services, budget and timeline you choose, your message and any call time you pick, whether through the Start a project form, by email or on a call.

Details from working together: contact details of the people we work with at clients and partners, and the correspondence and files exchanged during a project.

Technical details: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested and time) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

To deliver and invoice the work we agree: performance of a contract.

To keep the site and our inbox secure, prevent spam and abuse, and keep business records: our legitimate interests.

To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations: legal obligation.

We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked for them, and you can stop them at any time.

Who handles it for us

We use trusted providers who process data on our instructions: Cloudflare (website hosting, security and the short-lived spam check, which stores a technical identifier of your connection for up to ten minutes), Resend (delivering form enquiries to our inbox), Spaceship (our email) and Google (if you book a call through the embedded calendar, under Google’s own terms).

We may also share data with professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, and with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, standard contractual clauses or the UK–US data bridge, as applicable.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted within 12 months.

Project and client records: kept for the length of the engagement and then for up to seven years, to meet accounting and legal requirements.

Server logs: kept by our host for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over encrypted connections, with strict security headers. Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people who need it, and our providers are bound by confidentiality and security commitments.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email hello@samontak.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. The small amount of information this site stores on your device is explained in our cookie policy.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
